1. Prefixes is an affix at the beginning of a word. Usually, with the presence of a prefix, the meaning of the word changes, so that the presence of a prefix can be considered as new information.
There are several prefixes in English, namely :
im, in un, dis, ir, il = not
eg = wrong
en = make
Example :
-Possible: maybe
Impossible : impossible
We impossible to win this game.
-Perfect : perfect
Imperfect : not perfect
Everybody is imperfect, except the God
2. Suffixes" is an affix at the end of a word. This means, the suffix is only added after writing the word. As with prefixes, the presence of a suffix at the end of a word can also change the meaning of the word.
Example :
-Do not justify something that is wrong. You will feel refret later.
The word “JUST” in the form of a adjective after adding the suffix “-fy”
finally becomes the word “JUSTIFY” which is an verb.
-I need to go to supermarket and purchase my daily needs.
The word “DAY” in the form of a noun after adding the suffix “-ly”
finally becomes the word “DAILY” which is an adjective.
